This exclusive service allows customers to record any content via 'Tune Maker' platform and set it as their own caller tune. All Post Offices to be computerized by 2012: Dept of Post

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Talking to reporters through video conferencing, Sachin Pilot, Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology said that the Department of Post is looking at computerizing all the 1.55 lakh post offices in the country by the end of 2012. The minister said this after having launched 3G services in seven cities of Gujarat Out of all the 1,55,015 post offices in the country, only 12,604 have been computerized so far and Department of Posts aims to computerise the rest by the end of 2012, the minister stated. Talking about telecom network, he said that only the government-owned companies such as BSNL were putting up infrastructure and providing connectivity in the remote areas, even in Naxalism affected areas such as Jharkhand.
