NEC provides PASOLINK to TELKOMSEL

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE NEC Corporation has announced the conclusion of a comprehensive three-year supply agreement for PASOLINK, NEC's ultra-compact microwave communications system, with TELKOMSEL (Headquarters: Jakarta; CEO: Sarwoto Atmosutarno). The PASOLINK system will mainly contribute to the expansion of TELKOMSEL's suburban Internet infrastructure. In recent years, due to the rapid spread of the Internet in Indonesia, data traffic has greatly increased and the maintenance of network infrastructure has become an urgent matter for TELKOMSEL. PASOLINK addresses this issue while also supporting TELKOMSEL's efforts to optimize the efficiency of data traffic processing. HISTORY Channel now available on Mobile Platform

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE HISTORY, which debuted its India edition on October 9, 2011, is now available on the Mobile Platform across the country. HISTORY will be available on Live Streaming as well as Video On Demand on GPRS-enabled mobile phones. To access the application, the user will have to send the keyword "HISTORY" as an SMS to 51818. The user can chose to either view the channel or key episodes from a particular show. This service is available via Mobile TV across all leading mobile operators such as Vodafone, Airtel, Idea, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, Tata DoCoMo and Tata Indicom. There will be different subscription charges based on the package, viz. daily (Rs.7/-) or monthly (Rs.150/-) based on the user's choice. Ericsson gets multi-mn deal from Airtel

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Ericsson has acquired a multi-million dollar deal from Bharti Airtel to manage its mobile network in 15 circles including 3G networks in three circles where Airtel is using Huawei's equipment. The 15 telecom circles under the scope of the partnership include, Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, UP(W), UP(E), Rajasthan, North Eastern States, Assam, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chennai and Kerala. While the deal amount was not revealed, the five-year multi-vendor, multi technology managed services agreement is believed to Ericsson operate, maintain and provide services across 70 per cent of Bharti Airtel's network in India. Ericsson is also supposed to take responsibility for the Intelligent Network that manages Bharti Airtel's prepaid customer base.
