BBNL Corporate Office Innaugurated

The new corporate office of Bharat Broadband Network Limited (BBNL) in East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi in the NBCC Building Complex was inaugurated by Minister of State for Communications (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Railways, Shri Manoj Sinha today. Addressing the members of the press and media immediately after the inauguration, the Minister said – “BBNL has played a key role in leading the successful implementation of the BharatNet project fordigitally connecting all 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats (GPs) in the country. The objective of this flagship project of our Government is to facilitate the delivery of e-governance, e-health, e-education, e-banking and other services to citizens in every part of our country, on a non-discriminatory basis. Minister of State for External Affairs M.J. Akbar on Sunday threatened to take legal action against several women journalists who have accused him of sexual harassment at two newspapers where he had been editor. So seems his resignation is not going to happen. In a detailed statement, Mr. Akbar, who returned India from Africa where he had been leading an Indian delegation on various events, said that “accusation without evidence has become a viral fever among some sections. Whatever be the case, now that I have returned, my lawyers will look into these wild and baseless allegations in order to decide our future course of legal action.” Mr. Akbar attributed the allegations to motives other than the #Metoo movement’s aims of outing sexual predators. “Why has this storm risen a few months before the general election? Modiin Entrepreneurs' to Set Up Startup Incubation Facilities in India

Modiin Entrepreneurs’ Israel-based Startup Hub is going to set up an India-Israeli Innovation Centre (IIIC) in Bengaluru, which will be its first startup incubation facility in India after the US, the UK and China.
