Three Projects worth Rs. 1174.94 Crore Launched under HRIDAY

The National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) was launched from Amritsar in Punjab for 12 cities in the country including the Holy city of Amritsar, the centre of Sikhism to be the first under this project. Government of India has sanctioned Rs. 69.31 crore as 100% grant for Amritsar city. Union Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs and Information & Broadcasting Shri Arun Jaitley launched this Yojana at Amritsar in the presence of Union Ministers Mr. Venkaiah Naidu, Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, and Shri Vijay Sampla, and Chief Minister of Punjab Shri Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sukhbir Singh Badal. Foundation stone was also laid today, to make Amritsar-Bathinda-Ganganagar Highway Four Lane and for Hrike by Pass project which are worth Rs.1100 crore. Videocon Telecom to offer free data to female customers

Taking the honourable Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India forward, Videocon Telecom has took another big initiative and has announced 1GB free Data for all its female subscribers coming aboard. Under this initiative, the telco talked about women empowerment and declared 1GB free data that will be extended as 100MB per month for 10 months for all female subscribers. This benefit will be over and above any other data benefit provided to subscribers at the time of acquisition. As per Videocon Telecom, the percentage of data users among female users is slightly less than males, and this initiative will definitely increase the data penetration among female subscribers. The telco will also be providing a help-line for first time data users on know-how of internet and data usage on mobile phones. CA Technologies Study discloses the State of Big Data Infrastructure

A global study, commissioned by CA Technologies, has revealed that Enterprise Big Data strategies are delivering key benefits to organizations, despite noted challenges in implementation. 44 percent of the Indian respondents have already implemented a Big Data project while 36 percent plan to implement one in the coming year.
