Microsoft, IRCTC join forces to launch Mobile App for Windows Platform

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   As a strategic move,  Microsoft(NASDAQ:MSFT)  and  IRCTC  have jointly announced the launch of an official  "IRCTC Mobile App"  for Windows Smartphone (Mobile Phone), Windows 8 tablet or PC. Using this app, users will be able to book train tickets and do much more on-the-go on their Windows devices. The app has been made available throughout the day, excepting 0800-1200 hrs and 2330-0030 hrs.  The IRCTC app will provide information including visual maps of train routes, Windows Phone live tiles lighting up as train tickets and access to saved traveller profiles from multiple devices, among many others.
