WatchGuard launches XTM 2050

WatchGuard Technologies has launched its next-generation firewall XTM 2050 in the channel event held in Chennai on May 27, 2011. The event was co-hosted by iValue InfoSolutions. WatchGuard had also organized a similar event on May 20, 2011 in Mumbai for its Western Indian partners.

The event attended by 60-plus partners provided platform for iValue and WatchGuard teams to engage with partners and chart out plans for the new financial year with this addition of enterprise offering. Ongoing partner schemes for WatchGuard business were also highlighted by iValue during the event which added to the excitement of the evening.

"In addition to catering the SMBs, the introduction of XTM 2050 would help us to cater the large enterprises like BFSI, Telcos, among others. We are pleased to see such good response from our partners. iValue InfoSolutions have been supporting all our product line, and I am sure they will also be working very closely with the channel community to promote XTM 2050 amongst the large enterprises," commented, Mohit Puri, Country Manager, India & SAARC, WatchGuard.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
