Som Mittal, President, NASSCOM said, "The Indian IT-BPO industry was amongst the first to recognize the strategic importance of creating a diverse and inclusive environment. The industry has come a long way and the maturity of diversity initiatives stands out in many cases; at the same time, differences in approaches to implementation show differing philosophies and thinking. NASSCOM-PwC Corporate Awards for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion provide a wonderful opportunity to showcase the various diversity initiatives undertaken across the sector, and also provide insight into trends that are shaping the diversity agenda. I would like to congratulate all the winners on behalf of the industry and thank them for their admirable effort towards promoting gender empowerment."
