ZyXEL Communications has announced its PLA4200 Series 500Mbps HD Powerline Product Family for home users, which can activate high-speed internet connections and high-definition media streaming at homes, simply by plugging the products into existing electrical power outlets. This all-in-one kit, with three designs of the powerline product series, is said to offer flexibility and convenience to home users.

Instead of wiring the house with network cables for intra-connection among several networking devices, Powerline products enable an instant Internet availability through expanded usage from an already existing electrical power grid. By simply plugging in the powerline product where there is a power outlet, the pervasive electrical power system will be instantaneously turned into a dual-power system with Internet connectivity on top of electrical power. ZyXEL's new HD Powerline Product Family PLA4200 Series is believed to feature an ultimate, speedy data transfer rate as high as 500Mbps and Gigabit Ethernet Technology, allowing users to enjoy various kinds of high-definition multimedia streaming, such as HD Internet TV and online gaming, in a latency-proof and highly reliable manner. Designed with Gigabit Ethernet technology, the Powerline Series claims to ensure the unclogged and stable delivery of audio and video multimedia content without lag or distortion.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
