Sekonic OMR scanner introduced in India

OMR India Outsources has introduced three new models of Sekonic Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) scanner in Indian market. Sekonic SR-3500 Hybrid, Sekonic SR-1800 and Sekonic SR-55 cover the new range of OMR scanners. Among the newly introduced scanners, Sekonic SR-3500 Hydrid claims to offer all the robust capabilities of OMR technology along with expanded functions through image capture. It has inbuilt Barcode Reader and Printer.

Rohit Gupta, Director, OMR India Outsources Pvt. Ltd. said, "These scanners have remarkable reading performance and are touted to be the most user-friendly optical mark reader in the market today. Accuracy is the most unique feature of these products. They capture the data correctly and also eliminate double feed, and no feed detection. With the launch of these products, we would like to expand in the market of scanning and doing quality processing work of OMR and OCR/ICR. Our products will be a breakthrough in voluminous data processing and scanning work for Census and Surveys."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
