Red Hat Partner Conference Asia 2018 gets underway in Bali, Indonesia

Red Hat has kicked off its two-day conference - the 2018 Red Hat Partner Conference Asia. The event is taking place in Bali, Indonesia from July 10-12 2018 and has witnessed the attendance of more than 225 Red Hat partners, distributors, system integrators, ISVs, OEMs and solution providers.



The conference commenced with the keynote presentations by Red Hat executives - including Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, senior vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific; Arun Oberoi, executive vice president for global sales and services; and Mark Enzweiler, senior vice president, partners and alliances. Other notable guest speakers include Sandra Ng, group vice president of IDC Asia Pacific practice group, who provided insights into the partner landscape and market opportunities in the region.



With the theme “Stronger Together,”  the event featured several  breakout sessions on key focus areas such as application modernization and integration, IT automation, containers, hybrid cloud and how open source can drive innovation across these areas. The board of directors of Tata Sons, at its meeting has unanimously appointed N Chandrasekaran as executive chairman, Tata Sons. N Chandrasekaran shall take charge from February 21, 2017. The board of Tata Sons said, “Chandrasekaran has demonstrated exemplary leadership as the chief executive officer and managing director, Tata Consultancy Services. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications. ITI powered with 58 start-ups and Technology OEMs

In the recently held two day conference in the silicon valley of Bengaluru, ITI Ltd. has partnered with 58 start-ups and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), covering the manufacturing of a wide range of ICT and IoT-based solutions, where 400 start-ups have applied for.
