3G Data Plans initiated

The new Netconnect 3G data plans now available across all 13 Reliance 3G circles, including metros, offer 1GB 3G data for Rs.250 per month and 2GB of 3G data for Rs.450 per month.  With this plan, if the customer uses 2.5GB, the customer gets billed for Rs.250 as rental and Rs.300 extra usage (at Re. 0.2/MB for 1.5GB) – a total bill of Rs.550. Under the agreement, Bharti has made an initial investment of approximately US$165 million to acquire 49-per cent interest in Qualcomm AP's India entities that hold BWA licences in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala - partly by way of acquisition of 26-per cent equity interest equally held by Global Holding Corporation Private Limited and Tulip Telecom Limited, and the balance by way of subscription of fresh equity in those entities. Bredolab botmaster sentenced in Armenia

According to prosecutors, Georg Avanesov was earning £80,000 a month, renting out access to the compromised computers to criminals who wanted to send out spam, spread malware and fake anti-virus attacks, and launch DDoS attacks.  At its peak, it is estimated that Avanesov's botnet was spewing out more than 3 billion infected emails every day. "It is easy to see how such a large network of infected PCs was created, as people clicked on seemingly legitimate attachments and websites, oblivious to the infection that would go on to take control of their PC, and in some cases steal passwords and usernames.
