Now AC temperature to set at 24 degree Celsius

With a new direction has come from the power ministry has advised companies to regulate default air conditioner (AC) settings to promote energy efficiency in the area which is expected to be a key driver of global electricity demand in the coming decades , which may also be made mandatory at a later stage. The power ministry also launched an awareness campaign around air conditioning in order to achieve substantial energy savings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In a meeting presided by R.K Singh, Power Minister said, manufacturers have been advised to set labels on air conditioners which indicate the optimum temperature settings as part of consumer awareness. The temperature setting will be in the range of 24 to 26 degrees Celsius. The government also plans to send an advisory to establishments and manufacturers in this regard.... Read More

PayPal to buy Simility for $120M Cash

Paypal is on drive to give further benefit to its 237 million customers by the recent acquisitions of Palo Alto, California-based Simility sells machine-learning-based technology to help online merchants spot fraudsters and improve risk management, a fraud prevention specialist, for $120 million in cash. PayPal had been an investor in Simility (it owns three percent of the company) along with Accel, the Valley Fund, Trinity Ventures and others. The startup had raised just under $25 million and was last valued at $52.75 million, according to figures from PitchBook, making this a decent return for its backers.
