Dell amplified Inspiron Line-Up

Nokia Siemens Networks to deliver 4G

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   The Saudi Arabian operator Zain KSA has selected Nokia Siemens Networks as its LTE (4G) mobile broadband infrastructure and services vendor for Jeddah. The operator aims to address the growing demand for mobile broadband and smartphone data services by refarming its 1800 MHz GSM frequency band to offer 4G services. As part of the contract, Nokia Siemens Networks will also manage Zain KSA’s 4G network in Jeddah, in addition to the operator’s existing GSM and 3G networks in the city. “The upsurge in smartphone usage is putting a huge pressure on networks, while also increasing customers’ service expectations. New Justified View for Flickr Group

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Yahoo! India has launched ‘Justified view’ feature for Groups on Flickr. In addition to that it also introduced ‘API Methods’ and direct upload of photographs on the Groups through Uploadr. The new ‘Justified’ layout to Flickr Groups, eliminates the white space for a more visually arrangement of photos. A new side bar provides information on the Group, including the latest discussion topics. In addition, people will now be able to add photos to Groups from the new Uploadr. Justified view allows users to browse 1.2 billion photos in Flickr groups. This feature had initially appeared on Photos from users Contacts and then on Favorites. Avaya completes Radvision Acquisition

Pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement, each outstanding ordinary share of Radvision that was outstanding immediately prior to the effective time of the merger has been automatically converted into the right to receive US$11.85 in cash, without interest and less any applicable withholding taxes, for a total transaction amount of approximately US$230 million. Radvision will operate as an indirect, wholly-owned subsidiary of Avaya under the Radvision brand. Sony India aims to sell 6.5 Lakh VAIO Units in FY12

Sony will also consolidate its distribution network by adding 500 more channel counters, taking the total count to 4,500 in FY12. London 2012 Games on YouTube

During the Olympics Games (July 27 to August 12), sports fans in these 64 territories across Asia and Africa will be able to enjoy live coverage of the events as well as highlight clips on this digital platform - free-of-charge. Viewers from these territories will be able to watch the streams on the IOC’s YouTube channel, accessible online or Internet enabled devices like smart devices/mobile phones and other YouTube-enabled devices. Fans will also be able to catch up on highlights and full events - all organized by the day, medal event, or the sport. The IOC channel will also continue to feature historic content from past Olympic Games. Google buys Quickoffice
