HCL Technologies and CSC enter into strategic partnership

CSC reports Q1 2013 Results

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE CSC has recently reported first quarter 2013 diluted earnings of $0.26 per share, compared with diluted earnings of $1.17 per share in the first quarter of 2012 which included a one-time tax benefit of approximately $0.78 cents. Total revenue was $3.96 billion compared to $4.03 billion in the same period of last year. IBM partners with NGOs

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE IBM has announced four community projects for the city of Indore as a part of the Corporate Service Corps (CSC) program. The projects are said to be implemented in partnership with Concept Society, India@75, Government of Madhya Pradesh, and the Urban Health Resource Centre (UHRC). A team comprising of 12 IBMers from nine different countries (Japan, Canada, Chile, Brazil, USA, Australia, Mexico, Germany and Argentina) will work on these projects for a period of six months including one month on location. The projects will focus on developing sustainable solutions for Indore. The team will also work with the Government of Madhya Pradesh in efficient tracking and monitoring of the various programs under the Labour Department. CSC appoints Mike Lawrie as President & CEO

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE CSC has announced that Mike Lawrie has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer. Lawrie succeeds Michael W. Laphen. The CSC board of directors also announced that Rodney F. Chase, a current director on the company's board, has been appointed non-executive Chairman of the board of directors, effective upon Lawrie's start as President and CEO. Lawrie has also been appointed to CSC's board, effective immediately. Lawrie is currently Chief Executive Officer of UK-based Misys plc, a global leader of IT solutions for the financial services industry publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange. Irving W. CSC expands In India

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE CSC has inaugurated its 18th delivery center in India, and the second in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The opening is said to expand CSC's footprint in the country and further enables the company to offer a wide range of services to its customers across the globe. The new state-of-the-art facility is claimed to be equipped with world class infrastructure, network, and connectivity and will offer IT services to some of the largest insurance companies in the world. It will have a seating capacity of approximately 300, while the existing facility at Indore employs around 700 professionals. The announcement builds up CSC's two recent global acquisitions of iSoft and AppLabs.
