Samsung ships 35 million units
VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Samsung has announced that it has shipped 35 Million Mobile Units last quarter thereby reporting sales of 47.3 trillion won ($42.14 billion) and an operating profit of 5.3 trillion won ($4.7 billion). The Mobile business of the Samsung has contributed roughly 40% of the total sales and half of its operating profit ($2.3 billion). Robert Yi, Sr. VP, Samsung said, "Despite intensified competition amid the global economic slowdown, our telecommunications businesses continued to post solid earnings with an enhanced line-up of high-end smartphones, resulting in higher average selling price."
