IBM India teams with IIT Guwahati
VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE IBM has collaborated with IIT, Guwahati for Shared University Research (SUR) on Computer Assisted Therapy and Rehabilitation for speech, hearing and language pathologies. Researchers at IBM's Human Accessibility Center as well as professionals and students at IIT, Guwahati will work together to develop technology-based solutions that can augment existing therapeutic procedures for a speedy recovery for patients. Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar, Country Manager, University Relations, IBM India, said, "As a part of this ambitious project, we hope to augment traditional speech improvement therapies for patients with software tools. We are delighted to be associated with the cause to extend high- performance computing capabilities to make this project a success."
