Previously exclusive to BlackBerry smartphones(NASDAQ:BBRY) , BBM will be available as a free download in Google Play and the App StoreSM. The BBM Hackathon is expected to be attended by more than 45 developers who will create BBM connected applications with support from the BlackBerry developer relations team. The BBM Hackathon provides an opportunity for developers to create intuitive and networked applications on BBM. Developers will also get a chance to interact with BlackBerry platform experts and network with other developers while absorbing new ideas for integrating social elements into their apps.
