To support Digital India initiatives, global networking major Cisco Systems has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government on 17th March, 2016 to carry out a broadband project in the state. The project will be focussed on placing a 22,500-km-long broadband network, which will cover two million households. The company has plans to set up a manufacturing unit in Pune in the country. Reliance Communications has joined Ozone Networks and Ericsson Small Cell-as-a-Service carrier-grade Wi Fi network.
