BlackBerry Smartphones equipped with iCLASSR Digital Keys

The BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 smartphones activated with HID Global'siCLASS digital credentials will be compatible with the installed base of iCLASS readers that are embedded in the iCAM 7000 series for applications ranging from physical access systems in buildings to applications that track time and attendance, and other identity dependent applications. Using an NFC-enabled BlackBerry smartphone, the Iris templates of a user are securely stored to an iCLASS digital credential on the phone. Honeywell chosen by Top Shipbuilders

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Honeywell has announced that Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and STX Offshore & Shipbuilding (STX) will use Honeywell's Integrated Automation Systems (IAS) in five vessels commissioned by ship owners in Norway, Russia and the United States. The projects are valued at more than US$8 million. DSME and STX will use IAS in vessels under construction for the transportation of liquid natural gas (LNG). DSME is building the industry's largest advanced floating storage and regasification unit capable of delivering 20 million cubic meters per day of natural gas to south-eastern Brazil. The IAS solution uses Honeywell's Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS), and will manage the machinery and cargo areas of the vessels, including the cargo emergency shutdown system.
