Intel acts as a catalyst for Indian Internet Economy

Catalyzing the Indian Internet economy, Intel has made several announcements to connect more Indians to 21st century opportunities through technology. In order to make it a success, the event was joined by the leading industry representatives, in the presence of Intel Senior Vice-President & General Manager, Sales & Marketing Group, Thomas M Kilroy. Intel announced the Intel AppUp centre in India, which is an online software application store that aggregates, categorizes and validates applications that customers can shop, collect and install from one easy source. Retail giant Croma announced its intention for a co-branded affiliate store, powered by AppUp centre, expected to be launched by October 2010. The chip giant has also introduced a wide range of Intel Atom processor powered netbooks and tablets from Asus, Foxconn, Pegatron, Malata and CZc at the event. Yahoo! unveils Top 5 Businesses in Search Marketing

Yahoo! has announced its annual "Top 5 Fastest Growing Businesses in Search Marketing" and "Top 10 Most Popular Search Keywords". The results showed that the most popular search keyword all across Asia was "travel". This signifies a booming Asian economy and tourism market in the first half of the year. The second most popular search keyword in Taiwan, Singapore and India for the first six months of 2010 was "gaming". Local online job portal Naukri.com is ranked No. 1, followed by Monster.com and Monster Jobs in the most popular search keyword list. Job portals turned out to be a major destination for Indian users and the search varies from different mediums. Trending well with the growth of the Indian economy and increasing telecom and broadband penetration is "Nokia Mobile" and "broadband providers", which also feature among the top keywords in India.
