Why there is requirement of Cost effective SD-WAN ?

Image
THE SDWAN market is experiencing explosive growth. Strong enterprise and communications service provider demand is dramatically disrupting the traditional branch-office router market and it comes with advantages by, simplify network operations. It’s adoption is easy, quick and reliable. It is absolutely fact that, without virtualization in the network, virtualization in the cloud or data center will never be fully realized or effective. SD-WAN can help service providers increase profitability while accommodating WAN market trends. As the SD-WAN is fast moving, incorporating it into a managed service offering is particularly challenging as customer requirements and needs are changing all the time. The growth of SD-WAN is attributed to the increasing popularity of modern telecommunications networks and datacenter infrastructure concepts such as software-defined networks (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV). These technology concepts have enabled SD-WAN to provi...

R&M Data Center Manual illustrates on flexibility of network infra with SDN

Image
R&M in its Data Center Manual explains how SDN approach makes network infrastructure flexible. Dynamic load distribution to virtual servers, transfers to other hosts and more – a classic data center network is too static and inflexible for these tasks. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) could help in these cases by offering a new model of control and data distribution. The new Data Center Manual from R&M provides basic principles for planning. Thomas Wellinger, Market Manager – Data Center, R&M, said, “One advantage of Software- Defined Networking is that it enables companies to adjust the network infrastructure better than before to the special requirements of applications.”  He cited in particular the allocation of required bandwidths and quality-of-service parameters to guarantee the desired performance. This flexibility is important especially in complex networks such as private or public clouds. An important feature of SDN is the separation of the control ...
