Atos eyes leadership position in cyber security by acquiring Gemalto

Atos has made a formal proposal to acquire Gemalto by way of a public offer for all of Gemalto issued and outstanding shares. Atos invited Gemalto’s Board of Directors to engage discussions and review collaboratively this potential transaction. On November 28, 2017, Atos has delivered an offer to the Board of Directors of Gemalto which is friendly, compelling, and which addresses the interests of all stakeholders. Since then, Atos has reiterated its friendly intentions. Considering increased risk that could impact Gemalto’s shares, and for the purposes of market information, the Atos’ Board of Directors has decided to make its proposal public while affirming its willingness to engage into discussions with the objective to come to a transaction recommended by the Gemalto’s Board of Directors. Gemalto launches New Coesys Applications Portfolio

Gemalto is Selected for National eID Card in Mongolia

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Gemalto has announced that the Mongolian Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs has selected its  Sealys secure multi-service electronic ID cards  for their national identity program. This new eID program will secure Mongolian citizens' identities as well as pave the way for new eGovernment services. Mongolia has approximately 3 million inhabitants and all citizens above 18 years of age are to carry these advanced smart cards as their national identity document. In addition, the national eID card will allow for more efficient updating of the national registry and to enhance both the process and security level of verifying identities. Gemalto NFC Management Service Goes Live

Gemalto's Trusted Data Center certified

Gemalto selected by KDDI

Successfully launched in January, Gemalto provides a one-stop service to KDDI, encompassing its Allynis Trusted Service Manager (TSM) software and UpTeq NFC high-end security device.
