Andhra Pradesh Government claimed that it is likely to provide employment to over 3,000 people. John Schoettler, Vice-President, Amazon, is said to have met Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology, to discuss the expansion project and legal issues involved with regard to the land allotted to it for the proposed expansion. Amazon runs a variety of services out of Hyderabad to ensure smooth transactions.
