Capgemini to acquire the North American business of Ciber

Capgemini and Ciber has announced that they have entered into an agreement pursuant to which Capgemini will acquire the North American operations of Ciber, for a total price of $50 million. The assets to be acquired include the majority of the North American business of Ciber, covering client-focused assets, employees and operations, with revenue of $275 million. The transaction excludes certain liabilities of Ciber as well as its international operations. The acquisition of the North American business of Ciber, a provider of technology services and IT specialists, will strengthen Capgemini’s presence in the region with key Fortune 1,000 clients in sectors such as automotive, telecom and media. Capgemini bags contract extension with Nokia for global order management operations

Capgemini has announced that it has secured a multimillion euro contract extension from Nokia. The additional three-year agreement will see Capgemini continuing to optimize Nokia’s order management operations worldwide. The contract extension is a testament to Capgemini’s expertise in telecommunications and supply chain Business Process Outsourcing. Capgemini has had a longstanding relationship with Nokia since 2010. Capgemini to acquire IGATE

Capgemini and IGATE have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Capgemini will acquire IGATE for a cash consideration of $48 per share. The transaction will amount to $4.0 billion and is expected to be immediately accretive to Capgemini’s normalized Earnings per Share (EPS). The merger agreement has been approved unanimously by both Capgemini’s and IGATE’s Board of Directors. The transaction has also been approved by the written consent of shareholders holding a majority of IGATE’s shares. Capgemini crosses €10 billion revenues milestone

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Capgemini  has announced its performance report 2012 in Paris by the Board of Directors of Cap Gemini Paul Hermelin.  Despite a slow market, 2012 saw the Group cross the €10 billion revenues milestone (€10,264 million) which is up by 5.9 % according to the report.  Bookings during the year totaled €10,084 million with book-to-bill ratio of 1.07 and was 1.16 for the fourth quarter for Technology Services, Local Professional Services (Sogeti) and Consulting Services together, confirming the dynamism of these activities. The operating margin rate is €787 million which is 7.7% of 2012 consolidated revenues, representing an increase of 0.3 points. Profit for the year attributable to shareholders is €370 million after an income tax expense which increased by 40.0% (€140 million).Net cash and cash equivalents total €872 million up €418 million year-on-year. The Economist Intelligence Unit report "The Deciding Factor: Big Data & Decision making", commissioned by Capgemini, reveals that nine out of ten business leaders believe that data is now the fourth factor of production, as fundamental to business as land, labour and capital. The study among over 600 C-level executives and senior management and IT leaders worldwide indicates that the use of Big Data has improved businesses' performance, on average, by 26 per cent and that the impact will grow to 41 per cent over the next three years. Co-Development Agreement for Mobile Solutions

The Group reports total 2011 revenues of €9,693 million, up 11.4% on published revenues (i.e. at current Group structure and exchange rates), representing growth of some two points above the objective set at the beginning of the year. On a like-for-like basis (i.e. at constant Group structure and exchange rates), revenues rose by 5.6%, with the difference between these two rates primarily due to the consolidation of CPM Braxis (Brazil) and Prosodie (France), acquired in October 2010 and July 2011, respectively.
