Yahoo! has announced its annual "Top 5 Fastest Growing Businesses in Search Marketing" and "Top 10 Most Popular Search Keywords". The results showed that the most popular search keyword all across Asia was "travel". This signifies a booming Asian economy and tourism market in the first half of the year. The second most popular search keyword in Taiwan, Singapore and India for the first six months of 2010 was "gaming". Local online job portal Naukri.com is ranked No. 1, followed by Monster.com and Monster Jobs in the most popular search keyword list. AMD has appointed Donald Newell as Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Server. A distinguished engineer with more than 20 patents filed, Newell has previously served as a senior principal engineer leading the System-on-Chip (SoC) and datacenter networking architecture groups within Intel Labs before joining AMD to lead its server roadmap and platform design programs. Intel eyeing at Mobility and Security Space by acquiring McAfee

In a move to focus on online security, chip giant Intel Corp. said on Thursday that it intends acquiring computer-security software maker McAfee Inc. for a sum of $7.68 billion. Explaining the rationale behind the deal, Intel said that security being a fundamental component of online computing, today's approach to security is not adequate for the growing availability of Internet connections on mobile phones, medical devices, ATMs, automobiles and elsewhere. According to Intel, the McAfee deal will help Intel create security software and hardware from a single company that better protects consumers, corporations and governments as billions of devices.
