Atos to support C-DAC in its National Supercomputing Mission : Atos has announced a major 3-year contract with the C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), an organization within the MeitY (Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, India) to supply its BullSequana supercomputers. This contract is part of the NSM (National Supercomputing Mission), a 7-year plan of Rs.4,500 crore (~$650 million) led by the Government of India which aims to create a network of over 70 high-performance supercomputing facilities for various academic and research institutions across India. Low Average Realisation Per User(ARPU) Price changed from Rs. 10 to Rs.35 .... : Bharti Airtel with Vodafone and Idea have reportedly decided to switch off the connection of subscribers with low Average Realisation Per User (ARPU). This is said to be because such users generate ARPU of around Rs 10, which reportedly generates about Rs 100 crores in monthly revenue for Airtel. BBNL & BSNL officials receive warning from DoT for BharatNet's substandard quality

The senior officials of public-owned Bharat Broadband Network (BBNL) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has been notified for failing to operate the government's ambitious BharatNet network by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). In a letter to BBNL and BSNL top executives— Sanjay Singh and Anupam Shrivastava, dated November 2, telecom secretary Aruna Sundararajan said that a disciplinary action would be taken against officials responsible for non-operational network in village blocks and attributed lack of professionalism on the part of two public sector companies which has led to poor planning and coordination between the two. Sundararajan has further warned that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious project is being monitored by highest levels in the government and any failure to comply with or disregard of instructions shall invite exemplary disciplinary action. If the food items are not safe to eat, then it should be rejected by someone before using it. But it is not possible manually to test every prepared food as well bottled food even when a threat like the recent baby food scare. Recently MIT researchers discovered a way to check many food items instantly, non invasively and from a distance - using the popular RFID tags. RFID is the radio frequency Identification mechanism, uses the tiny antena embedded in a sticker or level that is activated and powered by radio waves at a very specific frequency. When a transceiver sends out a 950Mhz signal, the RFID tag wakes up and re-transmits a slightly different signal identifying itself. Products that announce themselves? Convenient for doing inventory! The World Bank has said that India has improved on six of the 10 parameters on starting and doing business in the country. It is a complement to the efforts of PM Narendra Modi, efforts towards reform measures taken in last 4 years of dedicated service to the nation by making the efforts to ease processes, project a business-friendly environment, and draw in foreign investment.
