Microsoft acquires GitHub for $7.5 billion

San Francisco-based GitHub tool for coders, into hosting and development service, which hosts 27 million software developers working on 80 million repositories of code, on and off for a few years. Recently they began talks about a partnership but progressed to discussing an acquisition, according to another person familiar with the situation. GitHub is a code housing platform that allows developers to store their projects and network with peers and GitHub covers why the platform matters, how developers use it, and more and work together to create software. With GitHub one can collaborate on projects and invite other programmers to work on your project from anywhere. Google to Pay 1 Billion USD to ORACLE

Array Networks signs an MoU with Netmagic

Array Networks has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Netmagic (An NTT Communications Company), to launch the next-generation Network Functions Virtualization platform (NFV) Center of Excellence to enable enterprises in India, to enable enterprises in India, with end-to-end customized hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution for scaling and optimizing business-critical applications. This agreement of collaboration signals the continued commitment of both the companies to accelerate the scalability of customers’ businesses in the ICT industry. The NFV Center of Excellence is enabled to address the emerging requirements of customers in a cloud generation. DoT approves 100% FDI limit in Idea Cellular

Idea Cellular Ltd has received an approval on its application to increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) limit in the company to 100%, from the current 67.5%, from the Department of Telecom (DoT) today. The approval is for total foreign investment up to 100% in Idea Cellular Ltd, and total indirect FDI in its relevant subsidiaries – Aditya Birla Telecom Ltd and Idea Cellular Infrastructure Services Ltd. The FDI approval is a major milestone in the merger process of Vodafone India with Idea Cellular, and follows other statutory approvals already received from SEBI, NSE, BSE, CCI and NCLT Mumbai and NCLT, Ahmedabad. The merger of Vodafone India with Idea Cellular is in the final leg of regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in H1CY18, subject to the final approval from the DoT.... Read More
