HPE launches Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System to help CSPs : Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the HPE Edgeline EL8000 Converged Edge System to help communication service providers (CSP) capitalize on data-intensive, low-latency services for media delivery, connected mobility, and smart cities. The new system enables CSPs to process vast amounts of data in real time directly at the edge, based on open standards to boost flexibility and reduce costs. India's first RoboCop - KP-Bot : Kerala Police Announced Humanoid Robots in Police : The Kerala State Police have created history by becoming one of the world's first and the very first police force for Sub Inspector (SI) rank in the country to introduce humanoid robots named as KP-Bot. Chief Minister Vijayan welcomed the Sub Inspector (SI) ranked robot into the service with an honorary salute and the 'RoboCop' responded with a perfect salute. Array Networks names Shibu Paul as VP of International Sales : Array Networks has announced the elevation of Shibu Paul as vice president of international sales. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving direct and channel sales efforts in key global regions. These include the India, Southeast Asia, Persian Gulf (GCC), and Australia and New Zealand regions for Array's entire product portfolio, such as its AVX network functions platforms, application delivery controllers (ADCs), and SSL VPNs. Pre-election bonanza for government employees : Ahead of the crucial general election, the Dearness Allowance has been hiked by 3 per cent over the existing rate of 9 per cent. The cabinet approved a hike in dearness allowance (DA) for the central government employees cum pensioners.
