Ericsson with Bharti Airtel to expand 3G and roll out 4G Networks in India

Bharti Airtel and Ericsson have inked a deal over rollout of 4G (LTE-FDD) network in Delhi. The two companies have also signed an agreement to expand 3G WCDMA network across eight telecom circles in India. Both the agreements are for four years. Ericsson will enable Bharti Airtel to meet growing customer demand for mobile broadband services while delivering superior network performance. On 4G, Airtel subscribers will be able to enjoy an improved smartphone experience, with faster web browsing, downloads, video on demand, and many other services. Nokia Networks and Bharti Airtel sign a 4-year deal for 3G Network Rollout

Bharti Airtel has selected Nokia Networks to roll out its 3G network in five new telecom circles and network expansion in three existing telecom circles. Under the 4-year contract, the company will provide its radio elements and services expertise to power Bharti Airtel’s infrastructure. Nokia Networks to expand Bharti Airtel’s 4G services

Bharti Airtel has commissioned Nokia Networks to expand its 4G presence to six new circles using Nokia Networks’ radio network. The deal marks India’s first FDD-LTE deployment on 1,800 MHz that will witness the launch of super-fast mobile broadband in 6 circles. Nokia Networks, already a supplier of Bharti Airtel’s TD-LTE network, will also deploy TD-LTE on the 2,300 MHz in two other circles.
