RBI imposes 11 crore Monetary Fine on 4 National Banks for non-compliance in SWIFT Messaging System : The RBI has brought ito effect of a monetary fine of ₹11 crore on four banks - Karnataka Bank, United Bank of India, IOB and Karur Vysya Bank owing to non compliance on SWIFT (SWIFT Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications) Messaging Software. SWIFT messaging system is a messaging network that financial institutions use to securely transmit information and instructions through a standardized system of codes. The Union Minister for Railways, Piyush Goyal, inaugurated the Rail Drishti Dashboard portal on last Monday, to promote transparency and accountability of Indian Railways. Speaking on the occasion, Piyush Goyal said that, "People can access information related to railways, view live feeds of railway kitchens, get details of freight and passengers and rail time table through the Rail Drishti Dashboard."  He further added "Those in remote villages can access this and find out everything about Railways and the portal was aimed at making Indian Railways more transparent."
