Although Foxconn continues to sell its branded motherboards worldwide, the key markets in 2010 were mainly emerging ones such as Peru, Turkey and Vietnam where Foxconn is one of the top three brands. Foxconn was once poised to become one of the top three motherboard brands worldwide (after Asustek Computer and Gigabyte Technology), but in late 2009 announced it would scale back its branded operations shifting the majority of staff to its OEM division, and focussing any remaining sales and marketing largely on the emerging markets.
