Sebi initiates enforcement actions in NSE co-location case

The market regulator ( SEBI ) said, it has initiated the probe against various entities in the NSE co-location case, with this it has alleged various lapses in high-frequency trading offered through the National Stock Exchange's co-location facility. We have received the NSE investigation report in the co-location case... have initiated enforcement actions," Sebi Chairman Ajay Tyagi said. In the coming few days, the enforcement actions would be completed against the entities, he added. Tyagi also said that the investigation has nothing to do with the NSE's proposed initial public offer.The regulator was probing allegations that some brokers had unfair access to NSE's high frequency trading systems. Instagram brings IGTV app for longer videos

Instagram has recently launched IGTV. It is a new app where users can upload videos longer than a minute. It was revealed at an event by the CEO of the company Kevin Systrom. The app hosts videos up to one hour and anyone can upload it either from the dedicated app or from Instagram. Everything is mobile-oriented, meaning videos are in a portrait mode. The app brings some new tools for users who want to make longer videos. Apple faces US$9-Million fine in Australia

As per a news source, the Australian Federal Court has ordered Apple to pay $9 million as penalty for making false or misleading representations to customers with faulty iPhones and iPads about their rights under the Australian consumer law. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) took action against Apple US and Apple Australia, following an investigation of complaints relating to “error 53”. This error disables some iPhones and iPads after owners download an update to Apple’s iOS operating system. Apple US admits that it had represented to at least 275 Australian customers from February 2015 to February 2016 affected by the error that they were no longer eligible for a remedy if their device had been repaired by a third party. Flightradar24 Hit by Data Breach

Most popular Swedish-based app for flight tracking services Flightradar24, which shows real-time aircraft flight information on a map, has suffered a massive data breach that have compromised email addresses and hashed passwords for more than 2,00,000 customers and has been shut down immediately after the intrusion was detected late last week. This information has shared in the company blogs and Forums on the breach publically via their blog or social media accounts, Flightradar24 started sending out emails this week with a password reset link, asking them to change their passwords. The company says, we have already invalidated your old password and the link in the email will allow you to create a new password. Expected a target of a phishing attack. The forum says, we can confirm that the email some of our users received in regards to a security breach has been sent by us.
