Expedia's 'Give them wings' programme for Street & Working children
VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Expedia has launched their maiden CSR programme for India called 'Give them wings'. Under the initiative, the company is said to sponsor an all expense paid 3 days holiday to Mumbai for a group of 100 street kids and working children from Delhi. As a part of the kickoff, Expedia facilitated a new record for the maximum number of postcards hand-painted by these children. For this initiative, Expedia has collaborated with Butterflies, a Voluntary Organisation. Vikram Malhi, Country head, Expedia (India) said, "While initiatives created for the underserved communities do cater to their long term needs; however, we feel the solution also resides in designing programmes that offer short term but lasting impact, especially for children.
