Vivo lays-off 20 employees

As per the news sources, Vivo India has handed pink slip to its 20 employees of Greater Noida assembling unit which led to a clash between security guards and employees. The news report also mentions that the employees were not given prior notice. They were asked to wrap up their work and leave post lunch.  Over 100 contractual employees gathered at the assembling unit and expressed anger at this mass layoff. This triggered a scuffle between security guards and employees, the situation turned worst with employees ransacking the office and damaging the property.
