Zebronics forays into Indian Tablets Market

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Top Notch Infotronix, under the brand  "ZEBRONICS" , has entered into the fast-growing tablets segment with the introduction of its  Zebpad series of tablets . The first of the company's tablets to become available, the Zebpad 7c and the Zebpad 9c, feature 7-inch model comes with 800x480 pixels resolution supporting a 5-point, capacitative touchscreen. Powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and a Mali-400MP 3D GPU for video rendering and running on the Android 4.0.4 ICS operating system, Jelly Bean update coming soon. Both the models are dual-camera tablet sporting a 2-mega pixel rear camera and a VGA front shooter. Kingston gears up to expand its reach in India

Windows 8 economical: says IDC Study

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   As per the latest study conducted by the  research firm IDC , companies are prone to spend three times more if they don't plan to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 or  Windows 8 . An estimate suggests that the cost of upgrading (assuming no enterprise licence agreement and three-year amortization period) will be US$95 vis-a-vis the cost of non-migrating which will be US$300 per seat/user, followed by almost a double the cost in the subsequent year. The vital point to note here is that the non-migration cost is only the documentable cost as this does not include costs related to business loss due to security and data breach threats, productivity loss and other similar factors.
