Juniper Networks has extended its product portfolio with two new EX Series access switches. The switches are expected to enable secure, simplified management for campus and branch networks, regardless of size and complexity. The EX2300 , an entry-level switch, and EX3400, a mid-range switch, offer new options for companies to leverage Juniper Networks Unite for a cloud-enabled enterprise, including Junos Fusion Enterprise and Juniper Networks Virtual Chassis technology to streamline network provisioning through a single point of management. Juniper Networks has extended its cloud and virtualized service offerings as part of its Software-Defined Secure Networks (SDSN) framework. These enhancements include a new compact and containerized virtual firewall called Juniper Networks cSRX , a firewall providing advanced security services for Software-Defined Networks, as well as a multi-core version of the Juniper Networks vSRX , the virtual firewall that is expected to be capable of reaching 100 Gigabits per second (Gbps). The cSRX is expected to provide a cost-effective way to wrap advanced security services around every workload and the ability to scale up to high multi-tenancy. Juniper Networks in its study commissioned with IDC has found that a majority of large enterprises in India are planning to deploy Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies as part of their network architecture by 2016. In recent times, SDN has become the buzzword in the networking industry and is widely tipped to be the next game-changer.
