NVIDIA declares Q1 Financial Results

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   NVIDIA has reported revenue of $1.04 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2013 ended July 29, 2012.  The company highlighted the Revenue of $1.04 billion. GAAP net income was $119.0 million, or $0.19 per diluted share.  Non-GAAP net income was $170.4 million, or $0.27 per diluted share and GAAP gross margin was 51.8 per cent. Non-GAAP gross margin was 52.0 per cent. "Our investments in mobile computing and visual computing are both paying off. Tegra has achieved record sales as tablets come into their own. Our GPU business made strong gains in a weak market, boosted by our breakthrough Kepler architecture. Kaspersky Lab Discovers "Gauss"

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Kaspersky Lab has announced the discovery of  "Gauss", a new cyber-threat, targeting users in the Middle East. Gauss is a nation-state sponsored cyber-espionage toolkit designed to steal sensitive data. Gauss was discovered during the course of the ongoing effort initiated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), following the discovery of Flame. Kaspersky Lab's experts discovered Gauss by identifying commonalities the malicious program share with Flame. These include similar architectural platforms, module structures, code bases and means of communication with command & control (C&C) servers. The new malware was discovered by Kaspersky Lab's experts in June 2012. C-DOT MAX-NG boosts NGN Services

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   It has been recently announced that the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), in close cooperation with BSNL, has upgraded the First Rural Exchange Centre at Kittur from C-DOT RAX to MAX-NG for NGN services, while celebrating its 25 years of establishment on 7th August, 2012. The upgradation of MAX-NG would be implemented through the BSNL network across the country within 2-3 years, upgrading around 2.5 crore exchanges, both urban and rural.    Earlier on Tuesday, C-DOT celebrated the completion of 25 years of India's first C-DOT RAX at Kittur (Karnataka) and the function was held simultaneously at C-DOT Centres.
