The average for the year stood at 72.1 - 8.2 percentage points less than in 2011. Such a prolonged and substantial decrease in spam levels is unprecedented. The main reason behind the decrease in the spam volume is the overall heightened level of anti-spam protection. Spam filters are now in place on just about every email system, even free ones. Also, many email providers have introduced mandatory DKIM signature policies (digital signatures that verify the domain from which emails are sent). Weakened Rupee not to affect IT Sector's Outlook in India

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   The India Ratings and Research firm (Ind-Ra)  has released a report on the Indian IT services industry revealing that the outlook of  IT companies is expected to remain stable in H213 . The research firm expects revenue growth of select IT companies to exceed 10% YoY in H213 on 6%-7% rupee deterioration in Q213 as against 8% YoY revenue growth in the last four quarters. Ind-Ra also believes the US dollar appreciation will ease the expected pressure on EBITDA margins due to wage inflation for companies with a higher proportion of (India-based) offshore revenue. The weak rupee will help revenue growth, as the effect of translation increases the ability of IT companies to price better than global rivals. Smartphone adoption in India topped in Q2 2013, says IDC

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   As per a recent update by  International Data Corporation’s (IDC)  AP Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker survey, it has been noticed that the Indian  smartphone market has almost tripled its shipments year over year (YoY) in the second quarter of 2013 Q2 (2Q13). The survey found that vendors shipped a total of 9.3 million smartphones in 2Q13 compared to 3.5 million units in the same period of 2012. 2Q13 grew by more than 50% over the units shipped in the first quarter of 2013 (1Q13). The 5.0-inch- 6.99-inch screen size smartphones, or phablets, grew 17 times YoY and the phablet share has steadily risen to 30% of the smartphone market in 2Q13. Manasi Yadav, Senior Market Analyst, IDC India , stated, "The growth in the Indian smartphone market is driven by consistent performance by local vendors who accounted for more than half of the total smartphone market in 2Q13. These vendors have been scaling up operations owing to rising mi
