Following 16 websites with 617 million accounts are hacked and up for sale : Dark Net : The following web sites having total of 617 million accounts have been hacked. According to a report on theregister.co.uk, these details are up for sale on dark web. The dark web is the World Wide Web content that exists on darknets, overlay networks that use the Internet but require specific software, configurations, or authorization to access. The dark web forms a small part of the deep web, the part of the Web not indexed by web search engines, although sometimes the term deep web is mistakenly used to refer specifically to the dark web. Linux Systems are Under Severe Privilege Escalation Vulnerability Attack : Snapd Flaw is authorizing Attackers Gain Root Access On Linux Systems : Major Linux distributions including Ubuntu is under a severe privilege escalation vulnerability which could allow a local attacker or a malicious program to obtain root privileges and total control over the targeted system. It would also allow an attacker to obtain full administrator privileges over the targeted system, and from there potentially pivot to other areas of the network.The vulnerability Dubbed 'Dirty_Sock' and identified as CVE-2019-7304 was discovered by security researcher Chris Moberly, who privately disclosed it to Canonical, the maker of Ubuntu,  late last month. India accounted for more than 10% of the global smartphone market in 2018 : India remained one of the bright spots in an otherwise declining global smartphone market in 2018. Smartphone shipments in the country were up by more than 12 million at 137 million, the best growth of any market in absolute volume terms. India now accounts more than 10% of the world’s smartphone market, up from 6% five years ago. It is one of six markets in the top 20 that posted positive full-year growth, with its performance outshone by Indonesia (17.1%), Russia (14.1%) and Italy (10.0%). Woman bank employee alleges sexual harassment at work : Bangaluru : Another sexual harassment case was registered at Koramangala, Bangaluru, subjecting that a 32 years old lady working in a leading bank in Koramangala was being allegedly sexually and mentally harassed by the the bank's 10 staff members and manager. Koramangala police have registered the case.The major complainant, a business development executive, has stated that the alleged harassment continued for one year.
