SAP APJ records Double-digit Software Revenue Growth

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   SAP Asia-Pacific Japan (APJ) has announced another record quarterly performance.  The territory's Q1 2012 results showed a 19% growth year-on-year in Non-IFRS Software Revenue to €123 million (16% at Constant Currencies). Steve Watts, President, SAP Asia-Pacific Japan, said, "Q1 2012 has been the best first quarter we have ever achieved in APJ - and is our ninth consecutive quarter of double-digit growth for SAP. The winners will now represent India at the world finals in Sydney, Australia, in July of this year. Kevin Turner, Chief Operating Officer, Microsoft Corporation, announced the winners in New Delhi at a student event.  Thrilled about winning in two categories of the competition, the representative from Team D Labs said, "We are incredibly excited! GSMA statement on TRAI Recommendations

The proposals disregard international best practice in spectrum policy and jeopardize the investment of billions of US dollars in new mobile infrastructure in a sector that either directly, or indirectly, employs almost 10 million people and serves more than 911 million consumers.   "Efforts to squeeze money out of mobile operators for some perceived short-term gain will only reduce investment in networks, inhibit growth of mobile services and drive up consumer prices - limiting the value the public will derive from the spectrum resource in the long term," said Franco Bernabe, Chairman of the GSMA and Chairman & CEO, Telecom Italia Group. A staggering total of 1082 entries were received from students from 500-odd colleges across India. The premise of this contest was very simple: Everyday innovations. This contest was divided across three categories: Home, City and College.  The winners were announced in each category. In the City category, The team from The Young India Fellowship Programme comprised Tushar Chugh, Jatin Sharma and Rolly Seth were awarded.
