Based on Ciena’s OPn architecture, the 100G network will bring immense capacity increases to a route that connects Egypt and Jordan to satisfy customer demand for high-bandwidth services, while using its existing fiber infrastructure to support growing bandwidth requirements. Reliance Globalcom upgrades its European Network

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Reliance Globalcom has announced that it is upgrading its European Network with coherent 100G technology.  Reliance Globalcom, which boasts international subsea cable assets spanning over 73,000 Route Kilometers, will be using Ciena's 6500 Packet Optical Platform and WaveLogic coherent optical processors to deploy the 100G network.  Part of the European network connecting Marseilles, London, Paris and Frankfurt is planned to be upgraded with 100G wavelength technology by the end of 2012. The upgraded network will enable Reliance Globalcom to support the surge in high-bandwidth intensive applications that encompass cloud computing, video conferencing, business continuity/disaster recovery, data center connectivity, and storage area networking, in addition to ever-increasing Internet traffic. Reliance Globalcom upgrades Its Global Network

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Reliance Globalcom has announced availability of 10G LAN PHY, a dedicated Ethernet point-to-point service, as a standard service offering across all the major destinations on its global network. 10G LAN PHY services are now available across 19 global cities on Reliance Globalcom's FA-1, FNAL, Falcon, FEA and Hawk cable systems that will enable its wholesale customers to interconnect their Internet routers with less-expensive 10G Ethernet / LAN PHY interfaces. 10G LAN PHY service uses ITU-T G.709 standard and operates at a line rate of 10.31 Gbps against 9.95 Gbps on a standard 10G, thereby also offering a higher user data speed. Reliance Globalcom upgrades Submarine Network
