Capgemini to acquire IGATE

Capgemini and IGATE have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which Capgemini will acquire IGATE for a cash consideration of $48 per share. The transaction will amount to $4.0 billion and is expected to be immediately accretive to Capgemini’s normalized Earnings per Share (EPS). The merger agreement has been approved unanimously by both Capgemini’s and IGATE’s Board of Directors. The transaction has also been approved by the written consent of shareholders holding a majority of IGATE’s shares. This transaction fulfils one of the essential components of Capgemini’s strategy in expanding its presence in the North American market. With its established position in the financial services sector (42% of revenues), IGATE brings an attractive portfolio of major clients complementary to those of Capgemini. Aircel announces free calling and incoming roaming to Nepal

Aircel has offered free calls to Nepal for all its customers for two days, i.e. 27th & 28th April, 2015, in its support towards the natural calamity faced by the country. This facility has been extended to all Aircel customers across India for the next 48 hours, in the light of the vulnerable situation prevailing in Nepal after the massive earthquake hit the country. The offer has been extended to all prepaid and postpaid customers of Aircel. Vodafone reduces call rates after Nepal Disaster

Videocon Telecom drops all ISD calls rates to earthquake-hit Nepal

Videocon Telecom has extended all ISD calls to earthquake-hit Nepal at local call rates for the next two days starting from 26th April midnight. Videocon Telecom shall charge all ISD made from its Network to Nepal at local calling rate of 90p/min against the ISD rate of Rs.9.2 per min.
