Intel promotes innovation and research with setting up of 100 IoT Centres in academic institutions

With the theme of “A World with One Trillion Connected Devices”, Intel is hosting its second Intel India Academic Forum 2015 in New Delhi. HP ties up with Hitachi over Threat Intelligence Sharing Platform

Through this partnership, Hitachi will join the HP Global Threat Intelligence Alliance and contribute threat intelligence to HP’s existing security information sharing platform, HP Threat Central. MoUD selects Smart City Consultants

The Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD) has finalized 37 consultants for 88 smart city projects for preparation of city-wise Smart City Action Plans. As per MoUD, the remaining 10 cities in the North-Eastern states and Union Territories will finalize their consultants by this weekend, whereas Uttar Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are still to nominate one city each for smart city project. Google ties up with LG, Huawei for next Google Nexus Phones

Google has launched the next two Nexus smartphones, manufactured by Chinese firm Huawei and Korean electronics major LG. The Nexus phone manufactured by Huawei is named as Nexus 6P and the LG made phone is called Nexus 5X. Hiroshi Lockheimer, VP Android, Chromecast and Chrome OS at Google, said in company’s official blog that the Nexus 6P is the first all-metal-body Nexus phone. Built in collaboration with Huawei, this 5.7″ phone is crafted from aeronautical-grade aluminium, with a USB Type-C port for fast charging, a powerful 64-bit processor, and a 12.3MP camera sensor with massive 1.55µm pixels (hello, better photos!).
