Verizon is offering its customers a secure and direct connection to the IBM Cloud. With Verizon’s Secure Cloud Interconnect services, users can connect directly to IBM Cloud services through a secure, flexible private link that enables workloads to move seamlessly between clouds. It also gives enterprises the freedom to store data in a variety of settings, including a traditional IT environment, a dedicated on- or off-premises cloud and a shared off-premises cloud, making it easier to scale and meet business requirements. IBM acquires StrongLoop to strengthen Cloud Portfolio

To strengthen its cloud portfolio, IBM has announced the acquisition of StrongLoop, a provider of popular application development software.The acquisition will help developers connect enterprise applications to mobile, Internet of Things (IoT) and web applications in the cloud. As data becomes increasingly critical in cloud environments, developers are using APIs to create protocols and routines that specify how one application can interact with another application. For example, developers can create new information assets by combining data and services shared by other organizations, ranging from start-ups to global enterprises, to deliver new innovation and business value.
