Nokia introduces "Slam" on New Nokia Phones

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   The much-vaunted launch of India’s low-priced tablet computer, Aakash, has lost its sheen due to reports doing the round that some of the most updated versions of the tablet, Aakash-2, have been designed and manufactured by the Chinese companies. However, Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO, DataWind, the Canada-based company that won a government contract to produce the first 100,000 Aakash tablets to be distributed to the students, has refuted the allegation by saying that some of Aakash’s components were made in China, but the Chinese companies are not responsible for the assembly and product design.... Bentley Announces Winners of 2012 Be Inspired Awards

18,000 Gram Panchayats Install Adobe Acrobat

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   Adobe Systems Incorporated  has announced that over 18,000 Gram Panchayats across Gujarat have installed Adobe Acrobat for the electronic issue of vital citizen certificates and other official documents under the E-Gram project. This project is collaboration between Adobe and the Panchayat Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Government of Gujarat. After a review process by the Gujarat Government, Adobe’s Acrobat software was selected for the E-Gram project, and deployed across more than 18,000 CSCs, making this the largest Acrobat implementation in India to date. Adobe has also provided training (live sessions and video-on-demand) for most of the Village Computer Entrepreneurs to transition from the old, paper-based system to the digital era ushered in by the project....
