AWS to scale cloud skilling, and accelerate innovation with education technology startups in India:  In line to complement the growth and diversification in the country,   AWS   has find the way to collaborate with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced new initiatives to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in India, by empowering school students with cloud computing skills, and enabling entrepreneurs to build innovative education technology (EdTech) solutions on the cloud.   A Statement of Intent (SoI) was signed between  NITI Aayog  and Amazon Internet Services Private Limited (AISPL), which undertakes the resale and marketing of  AWS Cloud services in India .   As per the SoI, AIM will leverage AWS Educate, Amazon’s global program that provides resources for students and educators to accelerate cloud-related learning. Hyderabad hosted India’s first-ever International Blockchain Congress in collaboration with NITI Aayog, Goa government and Nucleus Vision from August 3 to 4. The conference then moved to Goa where the rest of the deliberations took place on August 5.  The speakers at the event were KT Rama Rao, Minister of IT - Government of Telangana; Rohan Khaunte, Minister of IT - Government of Goa; Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog; Jayesh Ranjan, IT Secretary -Government of Telangana; Ameya Abhyankar, IT Director, Government Of Goa; Arun Seth, Chairman - NASSCOM Foundation; CP Gurnani, CEO - Tech Mahindra; Mohandas Pai, Chairman - Manipal Global Education; among a few notable ones. Arvind Panagariya quits as vice-chairman of NITI Aayog

Arvind Panagariya, vice-chairman of Government’s Niti Aayog, in a recent announcement announced his resignation from the post on 31st August after serving for two-and-a-half years.  NITI Aayog, after replacing the Planning Commission, was constituted as a premier “think tank” to formulate policies for the Government of India, which is meant to provide both directional and policy inputs.  Arvind Panagariya (64) is an economist chosen by PM Modi in January 2015 as vice-chairman of Niti Aayog. According to reports, India-born Panagariya didn’t have a fixed term and is returning back to Columbia University, where he has been serving as a professor of Indian Political Economy.... Read More
