Airtel, Opera enters Global Deal

With this, over 253 million Airtel customers across countries including India, South Asia and Africa will now be able to leverage Opera Mini’s unique proxy-server-based technology to compress data by up to 90% and decrease their data transfer costs. Opera Mini 7 for basic phones

Opera Mini 7 comes with a new feature called Smart Page. Smart Page is a one-page summary of all the news from your Facebook and Twitter feeds. Using the data-crunching and money-saving technology behind Opera Mini, Smart Page keeps one updated with the social life quickly. Opera Launches App-Tribute

App-Tribute is claimed to be one-of-a-kind technology works for app-based advertising campaigns and enables cost-per-click (CPC), cost-per-download (CPM), cost-per-install (CPI) and cost-per-mille or 1000 impressions (CPM) promotions. The Company claims that the new version for Android would help save costs for mobile phone users. Opera Mini 7 is believed to compress and squeeze Web pages from the network into the phone. This is said to result in lesser load on the phone and consumption of data. Opera Soft said, "Up to 90 per cent of the original data gets cut out, so not only do you use less data, but you also get where you want to go on the Web even faster.
