As per the HR experts, the potential job losses in the Indian telecom industry are "enormous" in the wake of 2G licence cancellations. Madhubala Vaidyanathan, General Manager (Services), TeamLease Services said, "Most of the companies whose 2G licences were cancelled are reducing their workforce. This is happening at all levels. Only people at key strategic positions are being retained. Potential job loss is quite enormous as the telecom industry was supposed to have provided thousands of jobs which would have done well for the economy." The Apex Body of Exporters shared, "FIEO is entering into a memorandum of understanding with eBay and Paypal on April 12. FIEO envisages the MoU to open up international market, especially for the small and medium enterprises in a big way. Noting that exports through the online channel had grown 400 per cent to $1.4 billion. Exporters need to increase their sales by adopting channels like e-commerce, which is the order of the day, to reach out to more and more customers globally and supply them goods directly while reducing the product cost at the end users' end."
