AMI reveals cloud partner segmentation report

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE   AMI has announced cloud partner segmentation report, enabling Cloud vendors to understand where their partners lag behind in offering efficient cloud services. AMI-Partners have segmented the cloud partner market into two distinct groups: “Cloud Transformed Partners” and “Cloud Laggards”. Partners identified as “Cloud Transformed Partners” have taken the necessary steps to successfully sell cloud solutions. Only a very small proportion (less than one in ten) of Cloud Partners falls into this category. However, their earnings are triple those of their non-Transformed counterparts. They tend to be larger, with approximately two-third of their revenues being derived from cloud solutions and services. These partners have a separate cloud services business unit and a dedicated cloud marketing team. On the other hand, the “Cloud Laggards” are mainly focused on reselling cloud services. Wespro Digital partners with Pixatel

AMD to rope in Suresh Gopalakrishnan

Yahoo surveys on IPL 2012

The 'IPL 2012 Public Perception Survey' ran from June 4-9, 2012 on the leading cricket site, and saw a huge uptake with18, 537 respondents in the 6-day span. The insights reflect the ups and downs of this sporting event which takes India by storm each year. While 61.5 % respondents believe that the IPL format has had a positive effect on Indian cricket, at the same time 68.9 % believe that IPL players are involved in match-fixing. NEC contributes to Fiber Cable Transmission

These results were accomplished through 100Gbps optical transmission trials carried out by NTT Communications Corporation. Tests were conducted using existing commercial cable with the intention of introducing 100Gbps-DWDM systems to backbone networks in the near future. SAP reveals Benchmarking Report

The study’s analysis framework evaluated customers in four areas for competitive advantage, including mobile strategy, creation of mobile apps, control of mobile devices and consumption of mobile apps.  The leading companies from the study reported that 37.5 per cent of users with mobile access to cross-functional applications experience more than 43-per cent higher productivity compared to companies in the bottom tier.
