Book IPL Tickets, Movie Shows on mobile through BEAM

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE Beam has launched its payment service to book IPL tickets and Movie tickets at anytime, from anywhere, right from the mobile phones. The application is facilitate with the Bookmyshow services. The long waiting in the queues for, fear of not getting the tickets, wastage of time and physical effort are all over now. With BEAM anyone can book the tickets of their favorite movie shows, IPL via Beam's website or Bookmyshow's WAP site and mobile application. Price hike on LG monitors

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE LG Electronics India Private Limited (LGEIL) has announced price hike in its monitors owing to the constant escalation of input costs. Due to increase in price of LCD & LED panels in the international market, LG intends to hike its monitor prices in the India market. Commenting on the same, Dr Y.V.Verma, COO, LGEIL said, "We have always believed in providing our customers with products at best prices. Now, due to continuous increase in panel prices internationally, it has become imperative for us to consider the price hike in India. Though we have been absorbing the panel cost which contributes approximately 70% of a finish set cost for the past three months but it will become difficult to avoid this change in the market prices. New Leaders on Board of Infosys

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE After a month long turbulence that swept the company through many speculations, the Board of Directors of Infosys has announced N. R. Narayana Murthy as the Chairman Emeritus, K. V. Kamath as the Chairman of the Board, S. Gopalakrishnan as the Co-Chairman of the Board and S. D. Shibulal as the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director. The appointments are effective from August 21, 2011. The decision of the Board is based on the recommendations of the Nominations Committee. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Jeffrey S. Lehman, Chairman of the Nominations Committee, said, "This is a great moment for Infosys. These three leaders meld an extraordinary range of talents and experiences with a united commitment to drive the company to unprecedented levels of accomplishment while remaining true to its historic values. R.K. Upadhyay appointed new BSNL chief

VARINDIA- INDIA'S FRONTLINE IT MAGAZINE R.K. Upadhyay has been appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL). Upadhyay is a 1975 batch officer of Indian Telecom Services and currently heads Telecom Consultants India Ltd. He holds a B.Tech (Electronics) Degree from Banaras Hindu University and MBA (Marketing Management) Degree from the Indira Gandhi Open University. Upadhyay is to join office from today, according to sources close to DoT. However, no decision regarding the appointment of a new chief for MTNL has been discussed so far.
